Moody Elementary Extended Day Program

     We offer an after-school program through community education as a community service.  We are non-profit and completely parent pay. This program is a privilege not a requirement. Our focus is to provide a safe and fun environment for students to attend. We provide an afternoon snack. Homework is required for grades 1-3 each afternoon and is supervised by a classroom teacher. When the temperature is above 55 degrees, we will go outside for play.  If not we will play in the gym with various centers, such as games, puzzles, drawing, legos, along with Playstations, Wii and other video games.

     Currently the cost is a $25 registration fee and $50 per week. All checks can be made out to MEDE. We hope to provide online payments very soon.

      We also offer a Summer Day Camp for June and July.  We take weekly trips such as Splash Adventure, movies, library, etc. We also provide educational programs weekly. We are open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Currently the cost is a $125 registration fee which pays for ALL trips such as a season pass to Splash Adventure. There is a weekly fee of $100.00. NOTE: You are allowed only one week vacation. You are responsible to pay for the remainder of the weeks of camp. We provide lunches and snacks every day for every child free of charge.

      The director of these programs is Cindy Turberville. Ms. Turberville was a Speech/Language Pathologist with our school for 32 years before she retired. She has been our director for 10 years.  Other employees of the program are certified teachers of our school, so they are familiar with your children.
